Falconworks Theater Company, named New York’s “Best Community Theater” by the Village Voice in the Best of NYC 2016 issue, returns in May with the premiere of a new musical satire, “READY SET GO! RACE” exploring the dark themes of racism and white supremacy in the United States. Drawing the audience in with the tone of educational shows like Sesame Street, and Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, the play quickly reveals that it will pull no punches
Through a world known as the hipster territory, where you can't decide if they're hipster or homeless, a new venue has arisen, Brooklyn's up and coming restaurant Terra Firma. An outsider among the residents, The Siren will be spreading her spell. Joining The Siren will be Folk Artist Sara Banleigh, RVBY MY DEAR and Light Brand.
The Grand Mess has been invited back to perform as a part of another SoFar Sounds performance! This time we're doing things completely different, and when I say completely different, I mean COMPLETELY different.
I do know we'll be at the SoHo location - check out their website to get on their list!
You had a long day. The fall cold is getting more cutting as winter is announcing its approach. You need to warm up and prepare yourself for the next change in season and WE HAVE WHAT YOU NEED.
Light Brand is back and supplying its face melting medicine for public consumption once again. This time we're coming to you at Brooklyn's Pine Box Rock Shop. (21+)
The wind howls, as the sound of train cars cuts through the brisk fall air. The winter months are upon us, but The Siren is only growing stronger. For she fears not the cold, it only provides her new challengers, for New York is succumbing to her spell.
Can you hear her calls? From the Greenpoint Art Gallery she beckons.
Well it's The Siren's favorite month, and it's the last day of the month. He melodies are summoning all the ghouls, demons, and spirits of the night of Halloween to The Shrine World Music Venue. The calling is 10pm, and be sure to have your costumes at the ready!
Prepare for a more normal concert blurb than normal. This night is going to be an awesome set of music. Chicago native band, Sedgewick, named "Best New Folk Music Act" by Newcity Magazine, will be joining Rizzi and Bianca Muñiz at Manhattan's lower east side venue, Pianos, for a triple bill! The festivities begin at 8pm!
Cutting through the norm of today's music world, Bianca Muñiz and her band have blasted into the scene with a huge force. Recently invited to perform at Ovation Sound's Archive Live studio performance, they now come to Desmond's Tavern to release upon the unaware.
Joining her will be Chicago's own acclaimed Dream-Folk band Sedgewick, on their East Coast tour.
The Grand Mess is BACK! With our long hiatus we'll be appearing in New York in conjunction with SoFar Sounds. Even we don't know where we're playing yet - tis all a mystery - so we may obtain special invites!. Check out their website as well to look or sign up for invitation to attend their acclaimed performances! (SoFar Sounds)
Traveling to her new post, The Siren is coming one of New York most acclaimed Lower East Side venues in Manhattan, Rockwood Music Hall. Weary sailors, rest yourselves at Stage 1, 8pm. There is no cost to rest yourself from long travels.
